A mega-club similar to The Guvernment,
the Lucid Nightclub in Toronto was located on John Street and was comprised
of 53,000 square feet of clubbing pleasure.
Lucid Nightclub in Toronto took over the space formerly owned by
Playdium. Modeled after the
location in Manchester, England, Lucid Nightclub in Toronto opened in the
summer of 2004. It announced
its closing in the summer of 2005. The
owners of Lucid Entertainment had taken the nightclub formula that worked so
well for their UK location and duplicated it in Toronto.
The club had four floors, three rooms and can hold 3000 people. Inside, club goers found nine full-service bars, three
special event areas, one hundred plasma screens at the Lucid Nightclub in
Toronto. There are also
escalators, fifty foot ceilings and DL1 Catalyst projectors (like the ones
on the Grammy’s). The main
level was open and was where most of the action happens.
The DJ booth and dance floor are joined by a massive stage which
featured national performers from time-to-time. The second floor of Lucid Nightclub in Toronto was a lounge
area that serves as a better spots to watch the action below.
The third floor contained the Screen Room, a multi-purpose space with
its own DJ/VJ. The fourth, and
final, floor hosted the VIP Gallery lounge. |
